Rat Scabies and the Holy Grail by Christopher Dawes Review

If you’re looking for a biography of a certain Ex-Drummer, this is not your book. This is not a biography in any sense nor is it a story of The Damned. It is the story of a friendship, and a sometimes unwitting journey in search of knowledge and closure. If you have read The Da Vinci code, you will know the story of Berenger Saunier and Rennes-Le-Chateau. Rat Scabies And The Holy Grail does for The Da Vinci Code what The Da Vinci Code did for The Holy Blood And The Holy Grail, it tells the story of a mystery, without going into too much of the detail. It makes dissemination of the original story a little easier, but in this case it is the story wrapped up in the warmth of a close friendship, a bond that is at times tested and pushed to limits. Although short on real laugh out loud moments, it is peppered with humour and written to entertain as well as educate. All in all, I found it to be a very good read, well written and easy to follow, entertaining and informative, but then I am biased, as a fan of the original , The Holy Blood And The Holy Grail, I love this mystery, and not only that, Rat is a bloody good drummer and all round nice guy. As the driving force in this book he comes off well and certainly gets a thumb’s up from me.

Entertaining and informative
