Is this your first time playing Rebellion? If not, when have you played before?
We played the Introducing Stage last year and we loved it! It was an amazing experience and we are really proud to be invited back.
What tips for other musicians do you have on applying to play Rebellion?
Tips for applying would be to build a strong fan base and to watch out for other bands who are playing. Get amongst it all and give it a shot even if you don’t get on it the first time around.
What is your all-time favourite Rebellion performance/moment? Who/what is your dream Rebellion performance?
My favorite performances were from The Kut and The SoapGirls. It’s always great to see friends doing well and to be proud of watching them shine on a great stage and with a great audience. I am personally really excited to see so many bands this year. There are a few Australians on the line-up like Clowns and Blind Man Death Stare which I am really looking forward to seeing.
What is a must-have thing (what do you always bring that you cannot leave home without?) for Rebellion?
A must-have item is a good pair of shoes! You will be doing a LOT of walking!
Best hangover cure?
Hangover cure = Anything greasy! And more beer.
What part of a music kit do you think every artist should bring to Rebellion?
What part of a music kit to always have? Not sure… My guitar is my lucky charm so that would have to be it for me. Never leave your weapon behind!
What song can the audience NOT miss out on seeing you play?
A song not to miss would be a new song we recently added to the set called ‘Dead Man’. It’s a fast and rowdy one that we are all really proud of, so we hope people enjoy it.
What day, time and stage are you performing?
We are playing on Friday at 7:20 pm on the Arena stage.
What are you currently working on or currently promoting?
We put out our debut album ‘Changeling’ last year and we are still promoting that. We also have a limited edition 7″ vinyl available with two songs from the album on it. We have also added a few new or revamped songs to the set which we are trying out and will be releasing a new EP early next year that we will most likely tour internationally with next year, too.
Good Intentions from the ‘Changeling’ album.
What is the best thing for you about Rebellion?
The best thing about Rebellion is the sense of community and catching up with friends, making new ones and of course, being introduced to new bands. We are from Australia so we rarely get to see a lot of the bands live (especially ones with our friends in), so we cherish the time we have there.
What do you think could be improved for your Rebellion experience?
Personally, I think Rebellion is an incredibly well-organized festival, so I have no improvements to add… Except maybe bring it to Australia!
